GIS of Thrones: Mapping Game of Thrones with gvSIG

Ce tare…

Sometimes when we are doing training tasks, users ask us about free datasets to practice and learn all the possibilities that gvSIG gives us. Fortunately there are a great quantity of free data today, but it’s true that only a few times we find geographic information that allows us to enjoy while we learn to create legends, labeling, making geoprocesses…

We were thinking in it when we found a dataset, with free license, based on the successful series (in books and on TV) Game of Thrones. After testing it with gvSIG we found several errors at the information layers, but they were able to be solved easily with some geoprocesses. Since we were at that point, why don’t we play with symbology and labeling by scale?

How to merge different PDF files in to one single pdf file

Proiect Marea Neagra ROSPA0076

Imi aduc aminte si acum de 2015 si de drumurile facute la Constanta pentru implementarea proiectului ROSPA0076 Marea Neagra.

Simt ca trebuie impartasit acest lucru iar motivul este unul simplu: lucrul cu o echipa extraordinara. Sa zicem Marian Tudor, dna. Costina Fulga, Sergiu Uzun, dl. Traian Petrescu, Irina si Razvan Petrescu, domnul Amiral al carui nume imi scapa, dar care m-a “tocat” marunt pana s-a asigurat ca asta e ceea ce doresc dumnealor (si bine mi-a facut, altfel nu iesea o treaba buna 🙂 ), Adi (thx pt. gazduirea serverului). Daca mi-a scapat cineva, scuzeeeee… 🙂

Mai jos gasiti site-ul proiectului (nu e facut de mine), insa contributia pe care am avut-o a fost cea de realizare si corelare date GIS, finalizandu-se cu un site continand date specifice zonei precum si hartile aferente.

Proiect Muntii Fagaras – Cartarea habitatelor

N-am mai postat de ceva vreme, dar asta merita. Anno Domini 2015, si 7 (sapte!!!) traversari ale Transfagarasanului pentru colectarea probelor de sol de la expertii in habitate si transportul acestora catre Institutul de la Brasov care s-a ocupat de verificarea acestora.

Cu toate astea, am condus un proiect frumos si le multumesc, inca o data, pe aceasta cale, celor care au facut posibil acest proiect – Asociatia Muntii Fagaras (scuze daca nu ii mentionez pe toti), dlui. Nick Penga (cu tot cu elicopter 🙂 ) dar si lui Marius Barbos, un tip de incredere pe care il recomand oricand si oricui.

Desi am trecut peste multe piedici, sunt extraordinar de implinit pentru ca am bifat inca o reusita personala.

Poate revin cu ceva poze si harti interesante preluate din zona.
